Media Info

Able is the widest read general disability magazine in the UK.

Our ABC audit (Jan 01 - 31 Dec 2007) verified that the magazine has an average net circulation of 31,127 copies (excluding exhibition copies). We are now moving towards a figure in excess of 33,000 audited copies for our next ABC period.

Individual copies are sent to paying subscribers and professionals who work in the UK disability sector. Copies are also available, free of charge, through a wide range of disability organisations and service providers - such as Spinal Injury Units, Disabled Living Centres, Wheelchair Service Centres, Limb Fitting Centres, Princess Royal Trust For Carers centres, and Shopmobility Schemes. The demand for copies at these venues is regularly monitored to avoid wastage, with the number sent being raised or lowered accordingly.

The magazine has a regular presence at the UK’s main disability exhibitions including NAIDEX (Birmingham), Independent Living (London & Glasgow), the Mobility Roadshow, Beyond Boundaries, Disability North (Newcastle), Kidz Up North (Bolton), Kidz South (Reading) and Disability Action Mobility Roadshow (every two years in Belfast). People may request future copies of the magazine at these exhibitions by providing us with their name and address.

Copies of the magazine are also included in individual delegate packs at events including the The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) conference.
